Nude on Glass

Sullen flesh, weight upon weight upon sullen Self.
Until the body has become a stranger.
Wrapped in more than it can carry easily, it becomes expert at
Eavesdropping on strangers’ hurtful remarks.

Finally the surgeon’s knife takes the matter up
where no amount of depravation has succeeded in
shaping a smaller, more socially acceptable
And not-sullen shape.
